Prepared legislative history and draft provisions of an appropriations rider to increase federal funding for hydrogen fuel cell research and methane hydrate production in the U.S. Researched U.S. leasing requirements for outer-continental shelf petroleum exploration and prepared a comparative study of leasing requirements in countries that have outer-continental shelf leasing schemes. Worked with industry lobbyists on the legislative and logistical issues facing the Senator’s agenda with regard to methane hydrate production.

Assisted trade officer with research of export compliance issues, Bureau of Export Control Regulations, intrastate and interstate transportation issues, and international terms of sale. Identified key foreign export markets for Montana products in Japan, China, and Taiwan. Aided companies on an individual basis increase revenue from exports by reducing export related costs and identification of key foreign markets.
