Government Relations - BKBH assists its business clients and the trade associations it represents in every facet of their operations. Not all solutions to business problems will be found in the board room, the courts, or before regulatory tribunals. Today, businesses may find that they require assistance from Congress or the Legislature, or need to be vigilant of legislative proposals that may adversely affect their business interests. In such cases, we provide a full range of legislative services. Our work on legislative matters has been both defensive and offensive; that is, we work both to defeat legislation opposed by our clients and enact legislation that is favored by our clients. Some of the firm's lawyers are registered as lobbyists both in Washington, D.C., and in Helena, Montana. In addition to traditional lobbying activities, our firm provides clients with services in a broad array of public affairs projects, including conceptualizing and strategizing on ballot initiatives, press relations, and public relations. We perform our public-affairs assignments in a low-key, professional, and personal manner. We present our clients' interests while adhering to ethical standards which will benefit the clients' and the firm's long-term interests.
