Biographical Sketch Mr. Taylor is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Montana School of Law. As the only shareholder who is a member of each of the firm's practice groups (Governmental Affairs, Commercial, Environmental, and Litigation), Mr. Taylor has extensive experience is a broad array of legal matters.
Practice Areas Legislative Practice: Public affairs assignments include lobbying before the Montana State Legislature and various governmental agencies, drafting press releases, and maintaining public relations, with a particular emphasis on real property rights, environmental compliance, highway safety, and retirement programs.
Commercial: Representation in the areas of corporate and business law includes choice of new business entity, research and analysis of insurance liability issues, negotiating and drafting contracts, employee handbooks, deeds, leases, easements, and assignments, assisting employers in wrongful termination, employment discrimination, wage, and workers' compensation claims.
Environmental: Provides representation in the following areas of environmental law–property acquisition, state and federal superfund, Clean Water Act, MEPA and NEPA compliance, eminent domain, natural resource and water law.
Litigation: Litigation experience includes drafting discovery requests and answers, extensive brief writing, deposition taking, conducting client and witness interviews, and jury verdict research. Represents client interests in various legal forums--state and federal courts, state and federal administrative proceedings, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
