Mr. Etchart is a graduate of Georgetown University and the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. Prior to joining BKBH, Mr. Etchart was a lands and environmental compliance attorney in the Office of the Solicitor at the United States Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C. During his tenure with the Department of the Interior, he also worked for the Bureau of Land Management as a land law examiner. Mr. Etchart began his professional career on Capital Hill as a staff assistant to Senator John Melcher, specializing in the work of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources, and Environment and Public Works Committees. Mr. Etchart practices in the federal and state courts at trial and
appellate levels and in various administrative forums. Mr. Etchart's principal areas of practice include
administrative proceedings,
environmental and natural resource litigation,
natural resources and property/real estate,
public land law,
surety law, and
litigation. Mr. Etchart is a member of the bars of Montana, the District of Columbia and Maryland, and is admitted to practice in federal and state courts in Montana and the District of Columbia.
